Mantles

I thought I would do a blog on mantles. Or, as I think about it the most prestigious horizontal surface in the home.

Of these, most prestigious the bedroom is the most endearing and the living room is the most presumptuous.

The other coveted horizontal surface is the windowsills. Specifically the windowsill of the place behind my pillow. This is after all old stone house. I am so lucky to have this as my home, with all of its deep sills.
