This is my parents house in Staunton, Virginia. As you can see I get my antique designing taste from my mom. She is a master. She also has the best antiques of anyone I know. She spends months getting ready for all of us to arrive for Christmas. It is her favorite time of year to decorate. Enjoy the tour.

The Christmas tree. Adorned with ornaments made by us, her kids, over the last 40 years. Her tree is a testmant to a mom who taught her kids how to craft. There are hand painted hand blown eggs, embroidered felt angels, picture cards, and clothes pin dolls. |
Mom adding Diedra's kids presents to under the tree. The boys are big Spnge Bob fans, so that's the bags we use for them. But it definately ruins the country theme. She is a good sport to allow it, even front and center. |
Mom's hanging corner cupboard, with her prized German Putz sheep collection. |
The mantle in the living room. A child's sailboat. |
The desk in the living room. To hold some of her treasures. Presents are for me, late birthday gifts. |
The paper mache dog, my hand made valentine from this year, and brushes. |
Shelby, my mom's Jack Russell, at the beach, Corrolla, NC, 2010. |
My mom's painting of Shelby, her dog. |
The mantle in the living room, by the Christmas tree. |

Mom's painting |
Front entry hallway. My mom's painting of their Jack Russells. |
Painting to left is Lilly and Elsie playing. My dads portrait on the right. A Gary White angel from Baltimore Md on the ground. My mom loves the black angels, so I buy them whenever I see them. |
Another Gary White wood sculpture. |
The above pictures are from the mantle in the dining room. |
Blue step back cupboard, in the dining room. |
The entryway hallway. A garden watering bucket we found at an antique store many years ago, and a clock from the local clockmakers in town Stauton. A place everyone who visits Staunton should stop at. He has the most amazing collection of clocks you will ever see, and the shop is on the main floor behind the small display area. So eavesdropping on "real clockmakers" working away, stooped over tiny gears, making the magic come back to life in the clocks of long ago. |
The top of the stairs hallway. A horse blanket with embroidered Jack Russell. A beeskep, and an ancient wicker rocker. |
My dads dresser. |
My moms bedroom dresser. A deer horn she says "was left for her by one of her deer." |
My moms side of the bed. |
My parents bed. The trundle is pulled out every night for the dogs to sleep in. Then tucked away in the morning. |
The upstairs bedroom decor. My room. |
The mantle in the upstairs bedroom. |
Cait, my dad's dog anxious, but forbidden, to join the unwrapping ceremony. |
