John Derian Meet The Gatchellville Store. Fall Winter 2019

I am in NYC, the mecca of all things wonderful and exorbitant. And yet I am still in search of the same old gems I seek in my little rural wooded home. Today it was John Derian. Three stores of blissful visual delight.

While perusing through the artistic rainbow of candy colored ornaments and ornamentations you can find antiques, whimsical treasures and gifts for every taste, budget and age bracket. This place is the mecca of creative excellence and outletting. I love love love being here in Johns world.

While checking out we started swapping favorite find stops.. first on my list is The Gatchellville Store. So for John and Charles here is my last trip to my other favorite landing spot for best antiques and people.

Want to see more of the great stuff that makes this store so magical? Here is Linda's Etsy store.. the only way to access her goodies through the off season.

Halloween 2019. Pa. German Farmhouse Style.

Happy Halloween 2019

Why not start every scary tale in the bath?

A dusty brown collar box with hazy lavender violets holds bath essentials,, hair ties, lotions, and nostalgia circa 1920s.

A mix and match of utility and whimsy brushed in fall tones.

A hallway in pumpkin,,,, lush year around but glowing in October.

The living room is blessed with stone house windowsills. An easy way to change up holiday decor and keep the mood evolving year around without the pains of back bending furniture placements.

Old and new stay in the color family and anything works!

Add a tea towel (always on the antique/estate sale list!) adds layering and softness.

On of my favorite Halloween pairs, an old book with ominous silver spider cover and an old children's holiday Jack-O-lantern.

The den always adds allure. My finale arrangement of 2019 keeps the parrot plumed walls in good company.

The kitchen.. always the place for the biggest crowds.

My kitchen had to have a candy counter. It changes color, flavor and candy options seasonally.

The house.

The front gate

The log cabin front porch.

Wishing you all a very Happy Halloween!
