Easter on the Farm, 2016

Here's to hoping that your Easter basket is full of the love, joy, and rebirth of the spirit of this day..

This is our home. Built on 1811. This is a typical Pennsylvania German farmhouse of Southern York County, Pennsylvania. It is the back drop to every inspiring moment and the blank canvas to every staging and decorating whim... it is my sanctuary, my salvation and my mecca.. I hope that it inspires you to stop and revel in the immense beauty that surrounds us always.

Around the Easter house..

primitive rabbit pin cushion with carved antique Victorian hand pin

Gilded milk glass shakers.
Easter milk glass eggs

The candy container collection... Easter theme.

Before there were plastic eggs to hide candy there were these papier gems.

Early advertisements were so beautiful people held on to them long after the stores shut down.

My kind of Easter goodies..

Old stone houses have deep windowsills negating the need for shelves, cabinets, and cupboards..

Need a quick color pick me up,,,parrot tulips!

Transitioning from Winter to Spring...

Making Easter baskets..

My favorite shopping places for my Easter baskets; Terrain, for inspiration and amazing basket fodder, and Longwood Gardens.

My best helper, Wren.

Who wants to hide plastic eggs? Why not use small Mason jars? Pretty, durable, and reusable!

All that candy and creating,,, well, it can be exhausting...

Easter inspiration,, terrariums..

This Winter my husband added a potting area to our basement.. needless to say I love it! I can now keep flowers year around..

Anthony needed a family of peeps.. But then again, don't we all?

Wren approves,, and she is proud of her work..
Here's to hoping that your days are always full of love, beauty, inspiration and a warm heart to share them with..

We all have an Easter bonnet of our own,,

Thank you for visiting!

Love Krista, Joe, Wren, Charlie, and Jekyll...

Happy Easter Everyone!
